How we work
What Is a Tour?
A tour is a continuous working period during which your vehicle operates exclusively for Trekko.
For vehicles registered in Germany, we cooperate with subcontractors who can make their vehicles available for at least one week per tour.
During this period, Trekko continuously arranges transport orders according to the vehicle's location.
All kilometres between the first loading and the final unloading of the tour are paid at the agreed contractual rate – both loaded and empty kilometres between consecutive transport orders.
Example of a Tour:
Cologne → Rostock — loaded, paid
Rostock → Hamburg — empty, paid
Hamburg → Munich — loaded, paid
Munich → Ulm — empty, paid
Ulm → Bremen — loaded, paid
Trekko organisiert den jeweils nächsten Transport und vergütet sowohl Last- als auch Leerkilometer zum gleichen vertraglich vereinbarten Kilometersatz.
Recommended Tour Duration
We recommend that a tour lasts at least one week, primarily to ensure that this working model is economically worthwhile for you.
The kilometres driven to reach the first loading point of the tour, as well as the kilometres driven after the final unloading, for example to return home or to another location of your choice, are not paid.
For example, if a vehicle were to work for us for only two or three days and then had to return home empty from a distance of 300–400 km, this might not be economically efficient for you.
For this reason, once a week (usually on Fridays), we can try to arrange the final transport in such a way that, whenever possible, the final unloading takes place as close as possible to the area where the driver wishes to return.
For example, on Friday we can arrange a transport with unloading on Monday in an area close to the driver's home. This allows the driver to spend the weekend at home and continue the new tour on Monday after completing the delivery.
Flexible Cooperation
Exclusivity towards Trekko applies only for the duration of a tour that has already started.
The contract does not require you to work for Trekko for any specific number of weeks or months per year. There is also no obligation to automatically start a new tour after completing the previous one.
Once a tour has been completed, you decide whether and when you would like to start a new tour with Trekko.
Furthermore, the cooperation may be terminated at any time by either party, without any contractual penalties.
